Grandpa and his Great Grandson

I happened to catch this great moment over the Thanksgiving Holiday. This is my grandpa Vince and my son Toren. Taken with my D70 and 50mm f/1.8. The natural window light makes this picture, if you ask me.

Constructive criticism welcome! I did a bit of sharpening in LR2 on this, but not much else.

    This is a lovely picture. Fantastic capture of feelings! I also like the hands - the big one and the little one.

    Oh, now this is a wonderful shot. I love the feelings of family in this. (I do wish the background were a little less cluttered, but it IS real life.)

    Thanks, Heather. Yes, I had similar feelings about the background, but in this case as you'd expect, I was more concerned with capturing the moment than setting up a perfect shot. I was very lucky to have the warm evening sun coming in a big bank of west-facing windows. Without that, this would have been merely a "snapshot".
