here's a shot I took today of my Dad's close friend. It's pretty much my first attempt at a portrait.

Your dad's friend looks a lot like DeNiro

::image edited because the mods are bustin' my chops.::

Might I suggest a reflector placed to the left side of the subject...I see a pretty harsh shadow to the right of his nose and a reflector would help fill in some of that darkness. Other than that, the photo looks good. thumbs up

thanks rsparts, I'll definitely try some bounce next time.

    this setup:
    3 Arri 650s
2 to the right with medium diffusion
1 from the back left no diffusion

    thanks for the tip :D

I agree, DeNiro twin fersure.. mwink.gif
    Great pose and expression! thumb.gif
I think the camera-left light is too harsh to my taste...ne_nau.gif

Nice portrait. The DeNiro association: absolutely. Doesn't worn leather photo well? I think so. The color association between model, and wardrobe, works well. Thanks for sharing. Maybe a head shot to work as a DeNiro double (if that's his thing).
