    It is a Perigee, closest the good lo' moon gets to Earth, me thinks.

    Beautiful shot!!

    Our news programmes were full of the background to the "big moon". but this is England it was cloudy, it rained (it is STILL raining).........

    So glad someone could take a picture for me to se.

    Nice capture! I was ogling it while driving home from work. It looked awesome just above the horizon while the sky still had some blue in it. But alas...by the time I got home.....clouds. :cry Maybe in 2016.....I should be retired by then. rolleyes1.gif

    Saw it last night on coke break at work as it was on horizon. Was
    breath taking. Hope someone grabbed at that level and can share.

    It was a very clear cold night, here in lincolnshire, had a go at it with my canon 75/300, But needed a longer lens
