What would you guys estimate a fair price for a Nikkor 17-55 2.8 afs lens be? It's in great condition, but it is used. I'm guessing about $1,000?

KEH has the Nikkor 17-55mm, f/2.8G ED-IF AF-S DX in conditions "EX+" to "EX" selling for $850-$790USD. Private sales are sometimes less. "LN" condition probably would be right under $1000 but that would be no dust, scratches or brassing, or marks of any kind, anywhere on the lens.

Looking to buy, or sell? I have one that I'd part with. Horrible, horrible back-focusing and serious issues stopping down...

    How much ya got?

Matt, I'm surprised to hear this, especially since I thought I had done some decent research before I put this lens on my wish list!

Could you tell us more about the problems you've had with the lens? Maybe I'll shop for a Sigma or Tamron instead if it really isn't that great of a lens! Thanks for the info!
