Yep .. strong California afternoon sun. I thought about some reflectors to shade, bounce and even up the lighting ... but I felt awkward about disturbing them while they were at their business ... the ant staring was bad enough ...

    :photo haha, the camera man...

All jokes aside it's a great set - where is it still warm enough for lady bugs?

The Ladybugs we found around here are more of an orange colour,
yours look to be a very nice shade of RED, which I think are much prettier.

Least you have a variety of things to photograph from your yard,
but it helps if you have a garden doesn't it, and I don't have a garden.

    Thanks for sharing thumb.gif .... Skippy :D

Nice shots! And now, to help you appreciate that California sunshine, know that my local forecast is for -32c tonight :cry. At least I don't have to mow the lawn!

Hey, we have snow ... but its about 40 minutes away. We tend to keep our snow up in the mountains where it belongs. .... And it rained yesterday ... lol.
