I like both, but my fav is #1 - reaching for the moon, a very simplistic photo that work very well.

Hard call, I grew up in chicago.....(I don't miss the cold)
I would go with the moon shot it stands out in MHO.

Thank you all for helping decide . I guess you always see photos of the skyline, which is why I was also leaning towards the first 1 .

I think I like the second one better. The first one has some problems, IMHO. I don't like the fact that part of the moon is cut off. I can't see any reason for that. Also, there's not enough of the building to make it interesting. And the converging lines on the building, especially in the bottom left, draw the eye away from the moon (not upwards). I can't help thinking that there's a better perspective that would have made this a great image.

I definitely prefer #1 but as Jeff says it could be improved pretty easily. I would try to get rid of the lower left portion of the building either with a mask or just clone it out.. Then increase the canvas (black) at the top to allow room for the whole moon and move the moon to the right a bit so it's above the "ladder" that starts in the lower right corner.

Hi Wally I like the first shot except that you cut the moon off.
Any way of editing it more so that the moon is all intact? .... Skippy
