After about 45 minutes of cocktails and the staff frantically "flipping" the ceremony room into a reception, the party started!

1. I don't know why I like this shot, but I do?

2. mouthwatering!

3. another random/detail/pj shot...it's so liberating to just float around and find shots rather than be the dictator!

I'm in awe of all of them processing and composition and all. What an eye!
I hate to say that and then throw out a nitpick. I just noticed a ghost in #2 by the chairs closest the camera; did you have a filter on the lens? I see the upside down chandelier green dots but you could probably make them disappear.

WOW - #7 - love the processing and "old-time" feel to this photo. Just gorgeous!

I really love the framing the elevator provide in #15 - that is a great shot. I would wonder what it would look like in B&W, what with all the mixed light.

15524779-Ti.gif with evoryware - great processing, composition ... what an eye!!

Thanks Damon! I have noticed those green spots in various shots, but I missed in this one! I do have UV filters on all of my lenses. What is that and how can I avoid it?

7 is a little soft, but I am glad it still passes in your book! :D

I originally processed 15 in sepia, and was going back and forth....I'll try it again. The carvings on the outside of the elevator are much more apparent in color, but as you say the mixed lighting isn't all that pretty either. Thanks for weighing in!

Photos don't have to be "cut your eys" razor sharp. They need to convey a part of the story and this one does, in a wonderful way. Love it.

What a lovely thing to say! Thanks, Scott! There were sharper shots in this series but the two little girls in the bg trumped those, at least I thought so!

I love the whole set, but #7 REALLY stands out. Processing, composition, onlookers....just great capture all round.

I wonder what the elevator shot would look like with a similar processing. I like the shot there, but there is a lot of disparety in white balance from the ambient light outside the car to the flouresxent lit interior.headscratch.gif

You are truely an inspiration here with the photos you share. Thanks for sharing these.

well wonder no more....this may be a tad oversharpened in smugmug, but the color version seemed sharper?

This is starting to sound like a kumbaya circle (just in time for the holidays!) but you're the one who inspires me to push myself and light, pose, compose and process better! so right back atcha. You're always so giving of your time and I appreciate all your honest and thoughtful C&C.

OK Jeff, Lynne, I've had about enough of this self-effacing, false modesty. It's getting so think one could almost cut it with a knife. rolleyes1.gif Ya'll are good, you know it, so own up to itbowdown.gif

I hope to be, some day, as creative as either of you. I keep working it ... we'll see.ne_nau.gif

My favorites are 4 and 14. I really like the composition in 14 and the action in 4.
They look like they were a really fun couple to shoot.

Lynn, this stuff is crazy good! I can sure see why everyone here raves about your work. I can't pick a favorite in either of these 2 sets, but I really like 14 with the kids against the wall... sometimes the strangest things appeal to me! I think it is just the pure pj of it, and the uniqueness of the composition. I'm kinda mystified with this set so I don't really know!!! Venue is amazing for sure.

Oh, that venue...it's just exactly what a winter wedding should be, right? Gorgeous! And how awesome to have the freedom to just wander and shoot. It looks like it was a fun event. I love the carriage and the elevator shots. The conversion seems a bit contrasty to me (I wish for a bit more light on the outside details, but that's just me), but what a delightful, perfect moment. I also really like 1, 2, 3. clap.gif
