Every year for the holidays, the Alberta Legislature in Edmonton puts on a great light show (as well as serves hot chocolate & has choirs sing). I went last week when it was a beautiful -1C. It is now not -1C...more like between -35C and -22C :cry, but the lights are still lovely.
Legislature
Looking North from the steps of the Legislature toward downtown Edmonton. In the summer the big area where the ice sculptures are is a reflecting pool.
This is a fountain in one of the nearby government buildings.

Happy Holidays, thanks for looking.

Thanks for posting..
You're right it is no pleasant -1C now. Freezing, freezing and freezing!
Maybe it will warm up before the lights are gone, and I will make the time to go.

Ann, if it warms up enough that you want to venture forward to the Leg. fire me off an email. It would be great to meet and shoot with you. The temperature seems to be making some movement upwards

One thing I've noticed with night shots (of skylines or other places with artificial lights) is they tend to come out warmer than they should, you might want to try cooling down the white balance and see if you like the results better.
