Do I want to remove the grainy look? If so, how would you suggest do it? What about the algae color? suggestions?

I made it sepia, the grain was more pronounced:

After all is said and done, it is the sweet tea.

    Ginger,

I don't see any grain. I see lots of stuff in the water. It looks cool to me clap.gif
It really adds interest to the shot, IMO. So instead of trying to get rid of it, maybe you should try to accentuate it :D

    Here's your pic

Same pic with some tweaking - moved the black point up and tweaked the highs and midtones in Curves, the upper bright area I selected with Color Range and took down the brightness using levels and added a small touch of USM.

I'm sure someone with better post processing skills/knowledge could do alot more with your pic. But, I tried :D
