Metallic print order ? and a misc ?

I just ordered my first metallic print 8x12" (order# 840357) to see what all the great comments are about...
It's a style I'm selling more of (hi-res scan of articles I've published with b/ground & text added) to those featured in said story - normally I print these locally as 12x18" lustre and mount on gator board -
I inadvertently ordered as 'auto color' although the background color was specific to my needs - will the 'auto' color process alter it greatly? can you change to 'true color' if yes?
Lastly is smugmug still (?) doing backups to 3 states? Do I need to back-up manually - had been doing dvd back-ups - now I come to find out how unreliable this can be.. can I count on smugmug to have safe, accessible back-ups of all uploaded images?
thanks

We do backups in multiple data centers BUT BUT you must know that SmugMug is not archival - we're 6 years going and we don't lose photos but if you want perma storage you should consider a SmugVault

Re: print -excellent! Thanks Andy
Re: back-ups...I think I'm confused on this 'archival' word- at this point I'm still doing all jpeg files,
and is there a point when my galleries (both public and private) won't any longer be accessible?
Smug vault seems to be 1-for various file formats (not an issue yet) 2- another cost to do what I thought was already being done... (not that its bad to have 'permanent' back up -whatever that really is)
Not trying to be difficult - just don't quite get it
If I were to do smugvault can I do as a gallery by gallery (or even site wide) decision or will all need to be reuploaded...
Thanks

SmugVault is if you're looking for long term safe storage.
You can do just a gallery. Just a photo even
