Is there anything more advanced than what we can currently view in our Control Panel, something a bit more along the lines of what is available on Flickr?
I only ask because one of my galleries in particular is getting hammered (relatively speaking) at the moment and the "Large" size images within that gallery have had more than 10 times as many views as any other (about 5000 in December), I don't mind that at all, but I'm assuming some of the photos are probably embedded on a site or forum somewhere, and would like to know where!

I agree that Smugmug's own reporting is pretty dismal and the UI is quite cumbersome as soon as you have more than 10 active galleries. GA and StatCounter work for most things, but you are right, not for direct links - only Smugmug's servers can see and record that.

What I've settled on is one gallery that is hidden and contains just photos that I use in my forum posts. Of course, it's duplicate work to have them in that hidden folder as well as any other public gallery but there's no space issues with SmugMug so it's not too bad.
When it comes time to look over your Smugmug stats, simply subtract the hits from that forum gallery from your overall total.
