Assortment of subjects

I got the offboard flash working again.
How is the lighting on these ones? They really are a mixed bag.

1. jewel spider. Does the web come out that hole in the middle? It looks a bit sphincterish.. :huh



2. Some type of caterpillar that has a spider web type cocoon surrounding the posse. Cant find an id. I interrupted their breakfast.



3. Arty shot of a thistle.



4. Liquid gold. The sap from some type of acacia tree i think.



Feedback and advice re lighting would be appreciated. It has been my bane/achilles heel/pita for , like, evah! :scratch

Like the sap shot the best Steve, due in part because its a bit different. Reckon the light still looks a little harsh on the caterpillar shot.

Hi Steve, I like the Liquid Gold one as well
and right at the bottom of that shot, you have a spider.

I too struggle at times with the harshness of the flash Steve,
don't worry your not alone with that problem.
