Hey guys - I searched a bit but couldn't quite find what I was looking for.

I'd like to try my hand at macro shooting with my A700. I know I can go the extension tube route, but I think I'd rather find a lens with 1:1 macro capability. Can anyone make any (affordable) recommendations?

Or have any experience with either of these:

http://www.adorama.com/TM9028NMAX.html?sid=122965613610289 (I can get this one for $275, though I'd love to spend less!)

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=&sq=desc&Q=&sb=ps&pn=1&ci=0&A=search&shs=TA18035MAF (not affordable for me at this point)

Thanks!

I used an older version Tamron 90mm macro on my old KM 5D. It was one of my favorite lenses and it has had tremendous reviews for years. I'm sure you'd like it.

So worth the $275 then? mwink.gif

The Tamron SP 90mm, f/2.8 Di 1:1 AF Macro is a classic "value" macro. It will be one of my next purchases (but I've been saying that for some time now.)

Occasionally they have them at KEH used, but it is definitely worth $275USD IMO.

KEH has 3-4 right now, including the aforementioned $275 one.
