Lots of firsts for me, inc first DSLR / first sunrise.

Some of you may have seen this one already but I'm so pleased with the way it turned out.

Please be gentle.

Pretty strong composition. Beautiful color. Wish I was sitting on the dock to enjoy it first hand. Only things I would mess with would be nit-picking and of personal taste. Nice image.

Nice job thumb.gif You really did good with the color. Composition wise a tighter crop might work a little better. You may try cropping out the boats in the right of the frame and the tank/building/whaterver the structure is on the extreme left. That narrows the subject matter more down to gulls, fishing boats, sun and sea. Just a thought headscratch.gif

Agree with the cropping, I would crop out whatever structure lurks in the shadows on the extreme left to draw more attention to the main subject.

15524779-Ti.gif. When you do that, you might also want to de-center the horizon. But this is a very nice first sunset! Good work!

    Thank you
Thank you all, I see what you mean about the cropping and have taken it on board, as I mentioned earlier this is my first 'proper' camera and I just so chuffed with the shots but knew they needed 'something' so THANK YOU again
