I've been foolish enough to install some Canon software; Now, every time I put a memory card in the card reader, a Canon Memory Card Utility pops up asking to transfer files.

There is a setting to download images on memory cards, but it's turned off.

Does anyone know how to turn this off? pwetty pwease?

    Uninstall?
It is the purpose of life that each of us strives to become actually what he is potentially. We should be obsessed with stretching towards that goal through the world we inhabit.

It is supposed to copy/import/remove from card the image files. Kind of like the import screen at LR thumb.gif

Sounds superfluous to me...I'd just trash it.

Open My-Computer->right click on the device->click on Properties->click on the Autoplay tab. Then select the function/program that is to take place when a card is present.

    No...that's a blessing! clap.gif WOO WOO!

PS. If any mac user wants to TOTALLY uninstall a program check out App Trap. Free and worth it...you drag a file to the trash and App Trap grabs all the support and preference files and trashes them too. Good stuff.

If you are using Aperture, open Preferences > General and select the program you want to open when you insert a new card or connect a camera (or choose no program). I think iPhoto has a similar preference if you're not an Aperture kind of guy.thumb.gif
