Will there be changes to Pro features now that Youtube does HD?

I'm a Pro member only to get the better video features of Smug, but now that Youtube does HD (for the full 10 minutes and their upload limit is 1GB), I was wondering if Smug is going to change their video features for Pro members to match or better youtube.

I do expect that one day we'll allow larger files. Right now, pro accounts can go up to full 1080p and I don't know anyone that does that as well as we do

Maybe I'm missing something then.

When I upload my videos to smug I do 1080x720 which according to the help files (http://www.smugmug.com/help/video-sharing) is the highest I can upload as a Pro user. Like this video

Are you saying that I can upload 1440x1080i or 1920x1080i ? The Full HD video that you listed...there is no way that is under the 500mb limit or am I wrong about the 500mb limit as well.

Can you list the Pro features (related to video) for me just so I can get this straight.

As a mere mortal that shoots with a Canon HV20 (1080i) could I have the new feature turned on for me.

Andy, I noticed the 1080p version doesnt playback in the Smugmug flash player on Windows & requires Quicktime. Will this change soon? And what about the flash player on Mac?? Flash player 10 is out now & Im wondering if the Mac version is less intensive for HD as the old one.

So how can we apply for this 1080p feature? Also have a 5D2...

When Apple & Flash can handle the HD w/out fail, it'll be so. Till then, QT....

Wow...I must say that is some impressive video from the 5D. Makes me want one very badly

And some impressive features here on SM to be able to host it.

Just email support and they will setup your account. It's currently in beta testing, so I guess that's why it's by request for the time being.

I sent an email last night and got a response in less than five minutes.
