Nothing too fancy with this shot, it just took me a little while to get exactly the composition I wanted. I thought it might look good hanging in a kids room.

    Cute, but there's a bit too much empty and uniform space to the right for my taste. Have you tried a vertical crop (in case the resolution is sufficient)?

    EDIT: I think a square crop might also be interesting!

    Keep moving your feet and lens. I would suggest getting at a child's level. Get low and close to the what the children see. If I put a photograph on my wall, to inspire my child, I would have it primary and environmental, just as you have. But I would want to see it as my child would see it...low and straight to the source.

    While I generally agree with your idea, it's usually not that easy - once you get "low and straight", things appear in the background, which you don't necessarily want to be there. Fences, cars, people, grass, curbs, distracting colors etc. etc.
