My car started to disappear

Something strange happened. I stepped out onto my front porch and my car was ghosted - like it was evaporating. Of course I, having just enough brains to keep my ears separated, went to investigate but didn't discover what was causing it. Later that day, it was like nothing happened.

Maybe you just left it out in the sun and it faded away. Recommendation for your next car: A garage.

This was a lot of fun to shoot and a learning experience to actually knit together. Getting the layers in the right order proved, initially to be a challenge, until I slowed down and thought about it for a minute. Then, I saved the layers of this image to a PSD file, just to find out how bit it would turn out to be - 485K!

Now that you got it all figured out, how about a tutorial?

But, if there's enough "demand" (read: If enough people ask), I'll see if I can't piece something together.

I'm totally serious. I've seen this done before, and always enjoyed the compositions. I think it would be a hoot to do with my kids. Besides, who said anything about "serious work"? I'm a hobbiest. Nothing I do is serious.
