I need some help with ideas on my watermark logo. Mine is kind of boring, like this one

I have seen so many others look really neat. So if anyone is bored, can you help me with my watermark. It can have KC or KC photography. Thanks so much for any help

Hi I am 100% new here, was just searching post about Watermarks.
Isn't yours more of a "Signature' as the size still leaves the majority of the picture untouched. And a Watermark main job is protect a photo from being
    used withour your right?
Why not put your K at the center of lef vertical edge and pull the two arms of your K to the opposit corners of the photo (to protect the entire content) and place the "C" and than "Photography horizontally across the photo.. that would protec the center. Here is smalll graphic to visualize,
my penny's worth. Good luck merry Xmas Vic

Take this with a pinch of salt as I have been banned for commenting on how people ruin their images with watermarks. Now that you have specifically asked about your watermark I feel my comments here are appropriate. When an image is watermarked and that watermarked image is presented for commment there is no way, in my mind, to separate out the watermark from the image presented. It's as if someone submitted a thesis paper with old coffee rings on it.

IMHO: The existing watermark you have is a very nice, tidy, and 'small' watermark that should not interfere with a viewer's take on your pictures. Personally, I'd leave it alone.

I'm working on an extensive post about watermarks for 2009. Andy can't wait for it. mwink.gif

    Cheers!

If you need a logo/watermark...hire a graphic designer. If all you need/want is a nice signature for your photos, why not use your own signature? Just scan your signature using black ink on a white piece of paper. Then remove the white background in Photoshop.

I made a brush in CS2 to combine my logo, signature and website....

In my opinion, a watermark should define YOU and in the same time protects your photo from unauthorized uses. For me your name should be clear (in case the user is interested in you and wants to Google you), or there should be a url under your photography name so they just visit you to see more of your work ne_nau.gif

Take a look at LENS Photography and check one of the galleries there. Do your watermark somewhat like that, and add a small url down the title. thumb.gif
