New Gallery from Keywords?

Not sure if this has already been covered or is already possible, but I was wondering if you could copy photos with the same keyword and place them in a separate gallery. I recently had a death in the family, and I wanted to create a stand alone gallery with their pictures. All of my pics have keywords, and I don't really have a desire to go through every gallery and copy the pictures. Thanks for any help.

You've inadvertantly added yourself to an "exclusive" club of Smuggers with a similar "need" and similar "vision" in mind concerning a logical remedy...do a Dgrin search on Virtual Galleries and "officially" join the chorus. :D

One very bright Dgrinner (Pbolchover) figured out a clever process that essentially does what you requested. As long as you carefully perform each and every step with precision, it works like a charm and and is faster (I believe) that the laborious process of copying individual photos in SmugMug, then Moving the copies to a newly-created gallery...MAJOR PAINS.

You can use your keyword process to extract the photos you want to gather, then:

Here's the link for step one:

And here's my added "contribution" to the process:

It "ain't pretty", but the last time I tried it, it worked!

Someday, SOMEDAY...(are you lurking there, Andy?)...SmugMug will, I'm sure, provide an integrated, semi-automatic process as a standard SmugMug feature. One can dream, anyway.

Worked like a charm! Thanks! I still would like something easier, though. ;)

Amen to that!....it took me 20 minutes just to locate the correct threads to respond to your inquiry. And I'm sure you spent at least 20 minutes just trying to figure them out...20 minutes you could have spent actually completing, and perhaps finishing, your project with a standard feature. We will get there. Patience.
