Greeting,

I just bought a D200 and I might have pressed one of the many buttons to trigger this but I do not know how to reverse the effects so hopefully someone can help me out. I am getting a reading on my screen that will not go away and it prevents me from shooting, the screen reads "fEE".

Has anyone every gotten this message? If so what did you do to fix it.

Thanks,

I believe the most common source to that error is a failure of the lens to communicate with the body (or lock onto the body in some cases).

If you have a lens with an aperture ring, rotate the ring to the smallest aperture.

Try taking the lens off and remounting it. If that doesn't work, try another lens.

If another lens works, the contacts might be dirty on the first lens.

If no other lens works and cleaning the contacts doesn't work, try a different battery.

If none of this works I think it is time for Nikon repair.

Thanks Ziggy, you are a life saver all that I could think about is "how much and how long" this whole thing was going to effect me.

I just rotated my tokina focus ring just like you told me.

    Thanks again.
