Just messing with some ideas other than people for the "relationship" challenge.

I'm having some issues with lighting, not really sure what I want. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bundle!

I'm sorry, but I'm not seeing much of the theme here.

Perhaps if you incorporated a human element into the shot it might hit closer to the mark. Two kids sharing a PBJ sammich? Or a mom making a PBJ sammich for one of the kids with the kid eagerly waiting for her to finish making it???

The theme is "family or strangers" with a sub theme of relationships. Seems there needs to be some human element in there.

Trying to not incorporate a human element as much as possible. I was going for the relationship between the items more so than a PBJ to a person.

And the idea is good ... but are the PB and J "Friends" or "Strangers" ?

Your image leaves the answer ambiguous, but you somehow need to make their relationship clear in this photo.

I think smearing the two together on one slice of bread would help with the "relationship", however, you're going to need some more dramatic lighting. Grab a couple of directional lamps, desk lamps, whatever, and play around. A title could be "The Perfect Partnership", or something along those lines.
