ive noticed most of your springtails are very pale, had a look sunday only found black ones of both types, do they change colour to match surroundings?

Love the last (with the intended pun in your title =P) and the first (1st needs more DOF). The 3rd is not bad either, but its kind of non macro in a macro world =P

Erm, no springtails on my compost that I can see, mind you, it stinks so I didn't look too close either, lol...
