One of my favorite animals to watch are antelope. They just mesmerise me - they can truly run like the wind. The do not bounce like a deer, but run straight forward.
They can be kind of hard to photograph. By the time you get the car stopped, they are long gone. Usually. Sometimes you do get lucky though... Driving north from the Petrified Forest into the Painted Desert, and what do I see along the side of the road?
Not the lovely background I had in Kansas though
We stopped the car and turned around and he was still there for a while before he decided it was time to leave the area with his gal.

Nice series... though the second image steals the show.

Late afternoon sunlight always makes for nicer portraits than noonish sunlight. If only I could get the antelope to schedule their appointments by my calendar preferences. Thanks again. I have a very nice 13x19 print of number 2 at home

They are all good shots but #2 is the standout.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
Really nice set of shots, love the desert tones and sharpness.
