My photograpy store that I shop at has one SB-800 left. I like the price of it and all reviews say that it is an amazing flash. Now my question, is the SB-900 that great of an upgrade to justify the extra $200.00

I just havent found an article online yet that convinces me that I should be going to the 900. The only thing making me want the SB-900 is the selfish part of me wanting the newest thing.

Any comments please!!!

this is the 1st I have heard of the sb900 *goes to look*

I wouldn't get it over the sb800. The only real advantage I see is quicker recycle times with certain battery types. Not worth the extra $150 imo

I upgraded to the SB900 in August, and sold the SB800's never looking back.

The custom menu is easier, firmware updates are possible, filter holders, protection from overheating, faster recycling, and larger coverage.

It is bigger and heavier which isn't always a plus, but in my opinion, a far better flash.
