Lavender for the bath! (Still Life)

I won one of the prizes at the camera club Christmas Social raffle.

Thanks to whoever donated it - cos it has 2 uses. The wife and daughter get to use its contents on the inside, and I get a still life subject to have a go at.

I draped a crinkley cloth across a table and placed 2 of the bottles on it, one on its side with the crystals carefully "tapped" out of the neck. I laid the lid near it, and placed a second bottle just behind.

The light was diffused by drawing the curtains, and I bounced a flash off the ceiling. In post processing I had to clone a bit of the flash light out of the glass, and then added a guassian blur layer, and a vignette, before flattening down.

* So here is the finished product...

I love the shots. And I love lavender in the bath, in the air, and on my skin. Men, and woman, approve of lavender. It really is great for the skin! Washington state has some super lavender field festivals (Squim for one)....Thanks for posting these shots. Nice product shots=sales.
