Hello fellow dgriners!

I had an eos 20d..before that a pentax...

The k10d was a superb camera, but i switched to canon for the lenses etc.

Now when i have them lenses...I want a new body. I was thinking of getting myself the 40d....But then i got home with the 1000d ( yes i could not belive that i got that little thing )

But when i think about it, i only shoot a single frame at the time, im tired of carying that heavy body arround. and i never shoot in high ISO..And dont need more megapixels then 10. . So why not?

I did get the batterygrip and a 430ex II flashgun. . . And im darn pleased with it..Not to less and not to much.

The lens is a tamron 28-75 ( with the superduper long name )

I can recomend it for entry level user..AND for the peple that do not need all the fuzz :D

I think you've done the right choice for your style of shooting clap.gif

I've been tossing around the idea of getting one of those for IR work - something cheap with liveview and contrast AF would be just the ticket.
    Creativity's hard.

To be honest, I believe that the 40D and the 1000D may have the same 10MP sensor and the same digic iii 12 bit processor, so I'd expect the image quality to be the same.

If you don't need the features of the 40D, then the 1000D may be an excellent deal.
