Hi guys,

I had the opportunity to take some more shots for this contest.

Please help me decide which one if any would be good enough
to be submitted:

#1 Merry Christmas!

#1 and #2 are pretty nice and would work well for the Challenge, IMO. In #3 it looks like the little boy moved just before you pressed the shutter. What a shame you can't see his face. :cry

#1 would benefit from a crop. I'd try cropping to about the base of that Christmas tree. I love the reflections in the glass.

#2 is very sweet. Have you tried a B&W conversion on it? mwink.gif

Thank you so much Linda for your reply and help.

I added the plate of pretzels on the table (from an other similar shot) to fill up the space...

    and also cropped it

For the second photo, even though I like colors, I think your idea of trying this one BW was genial

I like the sled shot in B&W. But I have to give the edge to the cropped "cheers" shot. The crop brings the eye right to the action. clap.gif

Adding the pretzel dish was a great idea. thumb.gif

Yeah... that corner was too empty without something on the table - that's why on the trials I did after I put
that plate with pretzel on the table... :)

But now I see what you meant... first I called the first image "Cheers" as I have it on the daily photos.

Immediately after though, I realized that I didn't want to pull the attention to the glasses only,
since the photo is intended to show a Christmas scene, so I called it "Merry Christmas"
    - you probably have to refresh the browser window to see the new title.

I thought you said to crop it because the mess that can be seen under the tree (the edge of the heater, wires, etc.).
I cropped it for this reason.

Considering though that I'd like to show actually a Christmas scene, which is more familial like, I'm not sure about
the cropped version but neither about the non-cropped one... hmm...

Therefore, I'll go with the B&W version of the "I can do it" :)

Thank you so, so much for your help thumb.gif

    All the best,

You have several good photos from which to choose. And, you won't go wrong with any of them. I preferred the cropped version of the "cheers" photo because in the uncropped version my eye kept veering toward the tree. But that's just me. ne_nau.gif The judges may see it completely differenty. mwink.gif

I have another photo that I would consider for the contest:

    "Number two"
