5DII burning video.....

This might seem an obvious question to some, but just checking for me.
If I were to get a 5DII and burn a video clip to disk; to make use of the 1080P file:
1) Would I have to have a HD or Blue Ray burner to accomplish this, or can I just simply burn in on a regular DVD?
2) And onced burned, will I need a HD or Blue Ray player to view on a 1080P TV?
