The Viera Wetlands was closed to vehicle traffic today (second day in a row), so I went to a local park where I found some Cattle Egrets.

Of interest, these photos record three animal/plant species that are not native species and have been introduced into the Florida environment:

Cattle Egret- from East Africa-self introduced (storm winds)

Primrose Willow-South America (the yellow-flowered plant)

Cuban Treefrog- Cuba

    That is awesome!

I did some research on cattle egrets and they are one of the most prolific animals on the planet. They have managed to colonize just about every continent and have been seen on every continent and it's due to their own exploration, not man's introduction to new areas.

Very nicely done and I had no idea that the cattle egret was not native.
