Found this Squash bug (Anasa tristis), a member of the leaf-footed bugs, on the drape in the bedroom this morning. What a surprise this time of the year.
I was able to coax it onto a piece of paper for a shot of the other side.
And I offer this last shot for fun. When I last used the camera it was set in automatic mode, not manual where I shoot macros, and I forgot to change it back to manual until after I started shooting today. This shot below is taken in automatic mode, 1/60", f 2.8, ISO 100. Just goes to show that you can take some macros in automatic and let the camera do the work. In comparison to the manual shot, this one lacks, but the eye is in focus and the exposure is fine.
