Filters for Nikon D-70

Hi.
I still have my Nikon D-70. I've never used a filter but have seen what a difference they can make. Deep blue skies and landscape colors look very different. I hike a lot so my pictures are mostly of clouds, sunsets and mountain views.
Any recommendations would be great!

    While I don't recommend circular polarizers for ultra wide lenses, they can be very useful otherwise. UV/haze lenses can provide some help with certain types of haze situations.

    Those are the main filters I recommend, but graduated ND filters can sometimes be used to help with extremes in dynamic range, and ND filters can be used to reduce sensitivity and allow long exposures.

    Most other filtration can be accomplished in software.
