Old Snoqualmie Trains

There are some cool old trains in Snoqualmie, WA (less than a mile from the famous Snoqualmie Falls).

The trains have a lot of interesting textures (rotting wood, chipped paint, rust, metal, etc.), so I decided to pull out my macro (Canon 100mm) as it hasn't been getting any use lately. The weather was damp and overcast which is ideal for this kind of stuff, and I haven't been to this spot in about 10 months (even though I've shot the falls several times in that duration).

Wonderful textures. In Los Angeles, there is also a train museum called travel town where they also have many trains, kind of decaying and allowing for many texture shots as well.

Maybe I ought to go back.

These are so nice. The textures are fantastic. I need to get out to a junkyard or something. Well done.

    Hey!
    I have shot those trains!

Just not with a Macro. Shot the falls too, and Wild Horses while I was out there.

Beautiful place to own a camera.

    Ron these are awesome..... :ivar
Rust and rotting wood, what a great combo!
These two make for most excellent texture shots indeed clap.gif
