Here are a couple shots of a typical Saturday at "El Mercado," the Mexican market in downtown San Antonio. I shot more but these were the best of the bunch. The colors at the market are always great. Enjoy!

I can hardly remember what San Antonio was like it was so long ago when I went there........ I remember the highway heading down that way,
and thinking how the heck do people know where to shop????

There were miles and miles of shops, I was taken back by the amount of lanes on the highway, as much as the amount of shops and fast food places

A trip back in time for me. Thanks for posting these. We lived in Houston for several years and we went to San Antonio every year for Cinco de Mayo. That was when I was even less of a photographer so the only images I have of the place are in my mind...

skippy - Come on back over (er, up) for a visit. Even more shops now, everywhere you turn. I keep saying, "we don't need this many places to spend money!" It's UN-believable!!!

arctic - Glad to give you a nice memory. I have one good picture from my one and only visit to Alaska (a weekend, during a lightning quick USAF tour of the Pacific)--otherwise, just memories for me also.
