You certainly picked a lovely day - blue sky! - are you sure it was the UK:D Good work with the G5. I used to have a G2 which spurred me to buy a digital SLR.

We do get clear blue skies in England, but not very often I also have a DSLR, but there are times when I need something that will fit into my pocket. The day I took the photo I was on my way to the FA cup final (football match) and needed something to take photo's of my mates making fools of themselves in the pub . The G 5 is ideal for candid photography and the quality of photo's are very good. Also there is no way I'm going to take £2000 of camera kit to a football match and risk getting it damaged.

From my experience of the USA the weather is generally better in the UK, so don't take any take any nonsense from these guys about the British Climate
