Bosque Snow Geese

Hi Y'all,

Some images from my Bosque trip. The Bosque NWR was filled with thousands of snow geese. It was virtually impossible to isolate a single subject. I had to set aside my usually practice of shooting wide open or going with f/8 and shot at aperture settings of f/11 - f/16.

    Thanks Glenn. I would love to get back to Bosque again. It took me around a day and a half to adjust to the shooting conditions there on this trip.

    Lovely images. Congratulations!

    Did you have a chance to shoot the dawn and/or evening flights?

    What focal length lens did you use for the shoot?

    My trip to the Bosque was nowhere near as rewarding photographically. I timed the trip to coincide with my granddaughter's Albuquerque wedding and the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta which placed me in a timeframe too early to catch the migratory wildfowl.

    I hope to get to the Bosque in 2009 during the proper time to catch the migratory wildfowl.

    Nice set, Harry. They're all great but I love the detail on the fourth shot. Also the shot with four birds flying together. Very nice thumb.gif

    3, 4 and 5 caught my attention. Great job on the exposure with all that white plumage and congratulations on isolating some! Wow! I really need to visit!

    Thanks, I use the 300mm f/4 and the 500mm f/4 with my D3 and D300 on the trip. I also used the 28-70 2.8 for the landscape captures.
