    Fantastic model.
That first one is a home run, great light, great pose, great model.
I like them all, the lighting is cool...but that first one is really nice!

Nik I think this is one of my favorite sets yet!

I love the dramatic lighting. It's absolutely perfect for accentuating her lovely figure, as is the black/white treatment.

I'm not so keen on the last pose, but everything else is thumb.gif

Spectacular series, Nikolai. Your best yet. Excellent lighting, sharpness and tone. I love the smoothness of form, lighting and the model's skin in each image. clap.gif

My favorite is number one: Great pose and I like the lower contrast. Everything I said above also applies. thumb.gif

Great poses in three and five, too. wings.gif

    Z, Lee: thank you, guys!
I was trying several different approaches to BW, applying more/less dramatic treatment, etc. Kinda like them all, cannot decide on any particular one headscratch.gif

Love 'em Nik - the lighting and poses are so good and highlight her body making a very feminine and classy figure study. I find myself wishing they were all full-length like the last one to complete the look though. Are these cropped a bit or as shot?

I've been really enjoying your work, especially the lighting. Your posts are a great resource for the forum. thumb.gif

ive been poking around in here for some time now and have really liked this forum - im gearing up to hit this type of portrait - im a little bit apprehensive but i gotta tell you i believe #4 is my favorite - you can see enough of her eyes that she has an almost defiant expression or even a stoic expression that almost says to the camera - you may have captured me - but you dont have me - i love it. for the record it was hard to look at her eyes - i viewed each picture several times and then noticed oh yes she has eyes - my attention was elsewhere. please pass on that i think she is a stunning woman copliments to her and you.

    Very nice
I think I like #2 the best as the tie seems to make the most sense to me in that shot. Having said that they are all great photos and the conversion to B&W is very nice and compliments the "mood" well in my opinion.

    I really like this lighting.
Can you give any details on how you did it or show one of those "before" set up shots like you do sometimes.
    Thanks

Setup is really simple: two narrow softboxes and couple of gobos to prevent flare.
