High School BB with my new D700

WOW, All I can say, I was sick of fighting with flashes and red eye. So I did it......Bought myself a D700...auto ISO to 6400, 1/500 Sec, 2.8...let er fly!!!! CC welcome. NO Sharpening...NO Noiseware. Oh Yah...NO FLASH

    I was using auto ISO with a max of 6400, overexpose +.3 to +.7

    #1 was 5600
    #2 was 4000
    the rest were between 2000 and 4000, you can check out the whole gallery on my site, I do have photo info enabled. This Camera is amazing

    Nice shots Phil - looks like you were shooting from up in the bleachers in the endzone? what lense(s) did you use?

    Thanks for the kind words everybody.

    I was using a Nikon 80-200 af-s f2.8...an oldy but a goody. Yes some were from the 5th or 6th row in the endzone bleachers, I was also on the floor and up on a walkway above the endzone bleachers.

    Shot again last night at the Christmas Tourny, here are a couple more of my favorites, did a little PP but not much.

    Great shots—congrats on the camera. It looks to me like you would have benefitted even more from 1/1000s in some of the faster action shots. I'm detecting slight blur. Looks like the D700 did a good job on focus though. I understand these SS might be unattainable in a BB court, even with a D700.
