This is my daughter at a few hours old. She had a rough trip to the world. Mommy got a 104 fever and possibly an infection. That said, we had to have a c section. Little Kennedy has some problems breathing and has amniotic fluid on her lungs so she is staying in the NCIU for a week. The docs say she'll be fine, and I'm hopeful. Please say a little prayer if you would. O, ENJOY! It's not the best pic technically, but it's the single most amazing picture I will ever take!

Well Technically speaking. Any picture of a precious child is a perfect picture, no matter the quality in my mind. Congrats on your new arrival! Thoughts and prayers for a quick stay in the NICU then home where little Kennedy will be most loved and comfy!

How precious iloveyou.gif Reminds me of my own (slightly early) Christmas gift 15 years ago. In his case, he was a bit early (almost a month so) and took us by surprise on 12/24. We joked on the birth announcements that he decided he didn't want to miss Christmas :D

Best wishes for a speedy recovery and homecoming for your wife and Kennedy and have a great (photo filled) new year.

Thank you all for your warm thoughts. It is so comfortig to know that total strangers still give a damn in this world sometimes. I just got back from the hospital and Kennedy is showing great signs of pullin through. It's tough to hurry up and wait sometimes, and the docs are all so mechanical with responses in such so it's almost non human. That said, we are keeping high spirits and things are looking to be on the positive side. Thanks to all. I will post again shortly

    kennedy update
Thanks all for your kind thoughts. It's tuhrsday, and Kennedy is doing much better. She does indeed pneumonia (or however you spell it!) She has been taken off of oxygen and her feeding tube. Mommy was able to breast feed today and I got to burp her! I have earned my first ruined shirt! Anyway, here is the latest pic. This is her with her proud papa! (that would be me!)

    That's so awesome, congrats!

A rough entry into this world, but she's lucky to have parents like you. It's corny and cliched, but enjoy every moment, they grow up way too quick. My daughter is 14, has boobs (still getting used to that!) and a ton of attitude. I miss my little girl. But life goes on, eh?

    final update!
Thank you all for dropping by to read and then post warm thoughts and wishes for my daughter. I am happy to report that her stint in the hospital is over. She has taken all of her antibiotics and the doctors say she will be a normal healthy baby. Please enjoy the final photo update and certainly feel free to leave your thoughts.

Children are a wonderful gift from God, and we should be reminded that He considers us worthy to have them (if even for a while). That said, congrats a bunch and little Kennedy looks precious. Prayers.
