Sponsors and Advertising

Wondering if anyone has sponsor's links on their page. I have heard from a couple of different people questioning whether or not they can advertise on my site. What are the guidelines? Can someone point me in the right direction?

    I don't have sponsors but I know someone who does. The links I have are just for various people I have shot for.
