Are titles really important?

Please share your opinion on if you think that the title of a photograph is as important as the actual photograph.

    I wouldn't say as important. But I do think a good title can add to the viewer's perception of an image. Or guide the viewer to understand what the photographer was after. In that context one could argue that the title is only important if the photographer wants to guide the viewer to a given interpretation rather than let them arrive at their own conclusion ne_nau.gif

    Sometimes. I have seen photos that tell a great story and any title would distract. On the other hand, I have seen photos that would not be the same if not for the title.
    A title can draw its own conclusion.
