Orginally a Spanish mission built in 1767, Local forklore tells of priests who were fornicating with the nuns and children there. Their pregnancies were either terminated or the babies were killed and buried nearby. One night illegal emigrants who knew what was going on went in and killed two of the priests. The third ran for help but died while searching. The robes and bones were on display up until a couple of years ago. Afterwards, it became an insane asylum until it was shut down after reports of hauntings. C&C welcome!
The area was completly fenced off.

With such a sordid--and morbid--history, the only real "healing" and "closure" here would be to tear the whole thing down and push it into the ground.

The "morbid" history happened a very very long time ago (1912) with such history and awesome architecture why not turn it into something good? Or even a museum?
