For Christmas my husband and I always go to his family in Illinois, since his dad is a Lutheran pastor and it's very important to them to have everyone there. My sister-in-laws both flew in from Florida with their husbands, and the older sister-in-law also had her son, my nephew.

This photo taken by my father in law of all the "kids" and their spouses.

I also had my father in law shoot a pic of my hubby, me, and our 2 dogs:

Then I got my camera back and took photos of my sibling-in-laws:

I also took a photo of my hubby's parents and their dog:

And the rest of the the time we were together I mostly took candids:

A candid of my hubby:

the dogs are fun to photograph too when bored:

And I will end family time with a few short videos I took w/ the 5D2:

My nephew Micah, 1 minute of cuteness at the table :)

My nephew trying to say Happy Birthday Jesus:

This is a cute short clip of my nephew walking around, the dogs in comparison to his size, and then his mom tickling him :)

I like the shots very much. Family photos are always fun to take, and I especially like the one with the boy and boston terrier (I think that's what it is) in it. Very cute.

These are great shots. I love the one of your nephew with the lights in the background. What lens were you shooting with that day?

That photo in particular was with my 135 f2/L... most of the rest of them were shot w/ my 35 1.4/L though just cuz the 135 is a bit long for average room usage :)
