I spent most of the day at the Viera Wetlands, with plans to go to Merrit Island tomorrow.
On the way up to our hotel I stopped off at the Cruickshank Sanctuary to see if I could get a
few photos of the Florida Scrub Jays.

I noticed that these guys and gals were not afraid of me at all, often times landing at my feet.
So I tried "phishing" them a bit ... looks like all that time chasing the little birds around paid off!

Coming in for a landing ... not tack sharp, but I thought it was cool.

Have you ever tried to take a picture of a bird on your head?
Not as easy as you might think! LOL

I had fun .... hope that you enjoyed these.

Great set! thumb.gif Had a good laugh! This is probably the "wildlife" that Ken Rockwell was refering to when he said that you don't need a long lens for wildlife photography. rolleyes1.gif

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

It does look like you had fun. The first image is really nice. But as someone already pointed out, after all that KRockwell bashing, you went and proved him right eek7.gif

The last few are very cute and the first one are very well done photographically. That third one is especially strong. Congrats on photographing a very endangered bird.
