Is there a way to stop Smugmug from turning the filename into the default caption?

I want the filename displayed, but not in the caption field.

Thanks in advance, ws

    Well, yes and no. You can remove the filename, but it will not show anywhere else.

    Look at the 'customize gallery' page:

    Thanks... but that is not really what I want. I still want the Filename but just not as the default Caption... so no customization code to do this huh. Why would Smugmug use the filename as default caption?

    Put this in your CSS then view a gallery in SmugMug style:

    #fileNameBoxWrapper {display: block;}

    The only way I've found to defeat this and still show the file name below is
    put some dummy html code in the captions using bulk. I add <> in each and
    that fools Smug into thinking there is a real caption and the file name doesn't
    show.
