Found out I will be heading to Winston-Salem for a few days at the end of the month.

Looking for a list of place to see, eat, and of course shoot some photos. So far Hanging Rock State Park has made the list.

Anyone from or been to this area?

Old Salem for sure - lots of historic things
Reynolda House - better in summer
Tanglewood - sometimes totally decked out for the holdiays
the NC zoo is about 30 miles from there
Pilot Mountain is not too far either, maybe 30 minutes

Old Salem is good to see and photograph.

For food, you need to give Lexington style BBQ (Western NC BBQ) a try. One of the best places is Little Richard's, give it a google and see if it is near where you are going to be.
