This is probably an old Wiskey Class Soviet sub. Where did you capture this image? Amsterdam?

Yes, this is in Amsterdam. It's laying near the docking station of the bicycle ferry across the river. I took this photo this afternoon when I was heading home. I was early today so it was still light for a change. And I liked the lack of background because of the fog. Here's some more info on the thing.

So it's a Zulu Class sub. Cool. I'd love to get inside and capture some images!

There's a sub just like it berthed alongside the Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA.

In case you're ever in Long Beach (and not watching the Scottish Rites festival near there...hammer throws...log tosses...haggis...all that good stuff).:D

Very nice image! I agree with you about the fog and lack of background--makes it more formidable.
