I think the "Lapse of Judgement" title might necessarily also include a dead photographer lying face down in this same meadow picture, with about a dozen or more opened and empty Cherry Ripe package wrappers scattered about, and a partial sign in the foreground, and almost totally out of focus that said "Please Do Not Feed The Bears."

I am very trusting with my equipment. I used to have the attitude that if someone steals it, they will have to live with the guilt.

Now, I do think it is kind of foolish to just leave stuff while I chase a photo, but I need it somewhat close, not in the car. And ..........well, I am just that way, that could very easily have been my stuff. Now my husband, he is a "light" walker, he does not believe in carrying more than you are using at the moment, not even a CF card. If he is around, chances are my unattended equipment has been trudged back to the inconvenient car.

We are just totally different and cannot understand a thing about each other. My father left a camera and tripod in a meadow somewhere over in Europe, when he was alive. I think he always thought he could go back and get it.

My monopod got lost when I was at the workshop. I did not care by the end, when I discovered it was lost. I had to exclaim loudly with swear words, where that monopod could stay as far as I was concerned. I couldn't walk, to say the least of retracing all my steps. And, of course, someone did turn it in to the office the next morning.

Sorry, I know I wasn't there, just sharing, too tired to walk into the other room.
