Chain Lakes in the White Cloud Mountains at dawn.
This is about 8 miles and a serious hike in from the road..but worth every step.

Very nice. I like the rock in the foreground. Is that a change in geology or is that the sunlight rising?

Very nice shot. The 8mi hike seems to have been worth it. Good composition, nice subject. About the only suggestion I'd offer is a bit of post processing to lighten the foreground a bit.

Beautiful shot. I also like the rock in the foreground. It anchors the image. I think scole was asking about the change in color from the grey to the warmer tone of the stone on the mountain. I was curious myself.

Yes that is the warm light of the sun at dawn hitting the rock vs. the shadow below it.

For me the foreground problem is that I wish it had been shot with a polarizer. The reflection doesn't add to me. I'd like to see what lies beneath.

The border of the sky seems odd to me. Like you selected it with a hard edged something that's not quite working.

Very well done. I like the reflection of the clouds in the water. Gives it an interesting symmetry.

Great composition and subject. I like the reflection as-is. Were these shots taken recently? Most of the trails near mountains in western Washington are closed due to snow, as are most of the mountain passes.
