I'm going crazy because I know I've seen this but can't find it anymore and didn't bookmark it. :scratch
I have a Manfrotto 190 and usually use a dual bubble hot shoe level to help with leveling my camera. In the past, I remember seeing a product (which I believe was made by Manfrotto/Bogen) that was sandwiched between the tripod legs and your ball mount that incorporated a bubble level so that you could ensure your tripod was level on the ground.
It's very similar to the replacement center column available for the 055 series tripods (like this) but I don't recall it actually replacing your center column. Does this ring a bell for anybody? I'd appreciate a web link. Thanks!

I wonder if you're thinking of the Bogen - Manfrotto Leveling Head, #3416

I seemed to remember that it added 1lb to the weight of the setup so that's it.
Thanks again..
